In our recent Kids, Books & Anti-Racism workshop with Dr. Sonja Cherry-Paul, we explored the possibilities of book clubs as brave spaces where students reflect on their racial identities, read and discuss books that affirm them, and challenge inequities.
Sonja graciously shared a selection of picture books from her bookshelf and encouraged participants to look for these at their local bookstore.
