Join us for a Saturday seminar in which we will examine the role of fluency in accelerating students’ learning. You will gain practical knowledge for observing and teaching fluency in all settings including virtual and physically distanced classrooms.

  • The connection between fluency and comprehension
  • Ways to teach for fluency to accelerate learning in virtual and physically distanced classroom

Prior to joining the Center for Reading Recovery and Literacy Collaborative as a Primary Trainer, Heather was a Kindergarten, first, second, third, and fourth grade classroom teacher in Middletown, CT for 16 years. She was also a Primary Literacy Coordinator for five years where she provided literacy training and coaching to K-5 teachers. In addition, she was a member of the Connecticut Department of Education Common Core State Standards Curriculum Design Team for English Language Arts.

Independent Learning Policy & Recordings

This webinar will be recorded. The link to access the recording will be sent to the registrant within one week of the webinar. Registrants will have until March 1, 2021 to watch it at their own convenience.

The registrant agrees to access the session recording for the purpose of independent learning. Access to the session recording is restricted to the registrant and should not be accessed in a group setting.

Certificates of Attendance

Only registered participants will receive a certificate of attendance for their participation by completing an insight form, which will be provided to participants at the end of the event. Please allow our team at least 1 week to process your certificate.
